Welcome to Whittier

Our Whittier location is open May-September.  We are located inside the Harbor Store, next to the small boat harbor.

To enter or exit the city of Whittier you will have to travel through A Controlled One-Lane Tunnel with alternating train and vehicle use.  To view the schedule please visit:  http://tunnel.alaska.gov/schedule.shtml

With only 190 people, it’s easy to dismiss Whittier as a small town yet the million visitors each year see the natural beauty and scenery is worth the trek.  There are quirky weather changes in Whittier, where one day it snows the next  could be a beautiful sunny day, only to rain a few hours later.
